“A WALK IN THE WOODS” – A Healing Retrospective
By: Chantal Gaudreault

Each time Professor Joseph Jocelyn Toy explains his therapeutic protocols to me (about being non-invasive), he always says, “It’s like a walk in the woods.” It was that phrase and his reassuring demeanour and approach that drew me to him, and to get me to really want to take a closer look at his work. He knows very well that I don’t like doctors, hospitals or treatments. This is also why I chose to capture on video my thoughts about my experience at the clinic - outside - while I was walking in the woods!

I have been blessed with relatively good health all my life. But as I was getting older, I began to notice that something was wrong -- and my problem may have been in the endocrine system (the thyroid and the adrenal glands). I always believed that in my case it’s NOT a sickness, but a disorder. The main difference is that if I go for a lab test… my issue does not show every time. And I actually know that hormones constantly fluctuate, and especially the thyroid hormones such as the TSH, T4 and the T3- and the levels fluctuate hour by hour.

I remember the day I walked into Prof. Toy’s office (with my husband and a friend). The appearance of his clinic really appealed to me. It was very well and simply decorated and I felt good just sitting there waiting. I thought that maybe if I went to one of the “open house” sessions, it would probably be the best way to see how it’s done. I found that he had extremely good bedside matters, meaning that he was polite and compassionate. As I say in my video, he is a beautiful soul. I felt really good and I was not afraid at all (ergo, “a walk in the woods”). Click to continue Chantal Gaudreault's "A Walk in the Woods"

WHO IS PROFESSOR JOSEPH TOY?
IPHA NEWS and Health & Healing 101 takes you across our northern border to Quebec, Canada for an up close interview with a leading therapist in integrative care through the use of electromagnetic neurostimulation for mental disorders and the many symptoms of neurodegenerative disorders.  Trained as a Mental Health Recovery Mentor (a program part of Psychiatry from University of Montreal Medical School) with a background in Chemical & and Biochemical Engineering , Prof. Joseph J. Toy is recognized as a PEMF Medical Protocol Specialist.  He became a certified PEMF Medical Protocol Specialist from Canadian University Dubai from his research focus on treating military veterans with PTSD and is an active member of the American Academy of Antiaging Medicine (Dubai). In search of modern solutions, he tapped into the potential of Pulsed Electromagnetic science which started him on a remarkable path to expanding his healing practice to create protocols and further his research to over 2000 different pathologies. Prof. Toy shares his process and his vision about PEMF technology and its many therapeutic advantages based on his actual patient experiences.

PAVING PEMF RESEARCH IN FOCUSED HEALTH
Re-published from an interview with J. Jocelyn Toy on 3/24/2022

In Canada, PEMF has been a first line recommendation for all depression, anxiety and PTSD mood disorders since 2016. It has been approved by Health Canada in 2002 and by the FDA in 1976- so I have been using FDA as a momentum since 20 years ago.  We've been approved in Canada to use PEMF clinically, but still we're so late compared to the US. In Japan, PEMF has been approved in 1972 and in Europe in 1901. So, it's all a matter of getting people to know the modality and connect to the medical field. As for me, I'm always very close to the scientific side of it because I know most people are using alternative therapy or allopathic therapy. Unlike alternative (in my opinion), success tends to vary as does its evidence of effectiveness. In the case of neurostimulation (or PEMF) it's all proven science. So for me, it's the best technology approved or greatest approved medical technology to heal naturally.

When I started my clinics, I was using different devices and modalities.  When I got into PEMF, I realized very quickly that our response rate at the time was 93% - compared to 70% and even 50% of some other modalities. I put my efforts in creating protocols around this- and for the past four years, we're at 97% response rate. With my mental health program, we are able to do that in British Columbia where I was collaborating with one oncologist and out of 183 patients, response rate was 100%.  This tells me collaboration is very important here.

My practice covers chronic pain, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Cancer support- and Arthritis support, especially in Quebec City where the population is getting older.   Then I also work with a lot of athletes- and sport pain- as with hockey players and pre-fight care like WBC champions.

Image #2: This patient has been diagnosed with Parkinson disease 7 years prior to the first PEMF treatment, he was on a twice a week 1 hour treatment for 10 weeks (Total 20 hours). I did use 3 different applicators  to « squeeze » the frequencies in the central nervous system and locally on the head as well. Patient was advised to drink more water and nothing more. The trembling stopped after the first hour and stayed in control until the next day. The second PEMF session stopped the trembling for 2 days and it went from there up to a whole week after 10 hours. At 20 hours, he wasn’t trembling anymore and we decided to stop the treatments to see how long it would stay stable. As for today, we did visit him this morning and after 5 years, he is still stable.

EXPANDING PATHOLOGIES
Around 2011, the US NIH came out with a press release presenting a report on the energy of the cells triggering diabetic conditions. Understanding that PEMF is all about cell regeneration, we can actually create a protocol to manage diabetic symptoms- and hopefully, the disease. As an example, I had a patient in Vancouver who was suffering from type one diabetes and within 24 hours (of my treatment), his hemoglobin A1C was back to a normal level and stabilized for the first time in so many years.

As with any patient care, our practice adjusts our protocol according to the patient. Sometimes we have a patient with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease etc. October is the Parkinson’s Awareness month. We've got more people on Parkinson's than we take care of them. So that's basically it.

TREATMENT CONFIRMATION
In a socialized health system where people's medical healthcare is paid for, private care like my PEMF practice is out of pocket. This means, patients are more attentive to results.  This makes PEMF ideal in that showing therapeutic response and overall results is much faster than other modalities, sometimes even instantaneous.

When it comes to tracking treatment response, we use MRI and blood work- but more often, patients choose blood work as the affordable option. For mental illness, the vast majority of diagnostics is more about direct observation if the patient is feeling better.   You can also find visible improvement in areas like the patient's skin. In Parkinson's, very easy to see people stop trembling.

In the case of one cancer patient who has several tumors in the lungs, PEMF helps the performance of her current therapies by optimizing the receptors of the body.  Through the MRI, you can actually see the results of PEMF treatments on the before and after from just a few short weeks. This is an important advantage, when you think about exponentially speeding up the treatment time of a patient (with much less exposure time to the after effects of those therapies).  In addition, we can actually identify response on the immune system and the reaction on the Neutrophils going up. During treatment, people react differently to different frequencies and this is how I can validate if we are using the right or wrong protocols.

EPILOGUE
In his active Neurostimulation practice, Mr. Toy currently uses the Curatron models for his patients suffering from chronic issues like mental and neurological disorders.  He received his doctorate degree in Malaysia in 2016 at the International Martial Arts Research Institute I.M.A.R.I.  He was recently decorated by the Queen of England for his work in PTSD named the Diamond Jubilee Medal. In 2016, he received the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers issued by the Governor General of Canada.  He is also the recipient of the exalted “Peace on Earth Award” in 2013 by Grand Prieuré Russe de l'Ordre de Malte (Healthy Recovery Institute).  For more information on his work, visit his practice website at: www.cliniquesneuroviesante.com.

“A WALK IN THE WOODS” – A Healing Retrospective (continued)

After my first experience with his program, I didn’t feel anything (disturbing or invasive) and it was a good way for me to realize that it was not invasive at all. That was in November of 2022, and I decided to enroll for 10 sessions which means I am still actively seeing him to date.

During my sessions, I noticed that he was not too technical or verbal about his process- perhaps it’s because it’s not a medical clinic (but a wellness clinic). We spoke about what type of cells he was targeting. He doesn’t go into heavy details but I know he changes the protocols around- just by observing. (I’m very observant and analytical this way.) I could always tell each time I lay there and would sense something different. This is when I knew he actually changed the protocols. I didn’t feel anything different for the first five or six treatments except for some heat in the back. That does not go on normally because the PEMF treatment is said to actually activate all your blood cells – which I believe is what tends to give off a certain amount of heat in the back. From here, I refrained from asking too many more questions, but I could guess that he was really aiming at my adrenal glands (which are in the lower back).

I try to notice week by week if I had any changes in my situation – and it appears I did. When you have a thyroid disorder, everything that has to adapt your body to your environment is all crooked. You can be sensitive to the change of atmospheric pressure, in temperature, to psychological trauma or conditions that bring you into a stressful situation and trigger up negative symptoms. This can affect anything that happens in your life because the thyroid gland is the gland of adaptation. So if you have something wrong with that gland, you actually do not adapt the way you should.

By the seventh session, I noticed that if I was confronted by something negative or disturbing to me, I did not react with a lot of stress over it. This was my first observed change. This meant a lot to me because I am an intense and highly sensitive person. If you want to make me cry, you can make me cry at a moment’s notice. Or you can make me laugh much the same way. But lately, when a certain situation happens that would usually affect me emotionally, this time, I find myself NOT reacting the same typical way.

This is surprising to me. (WOW!) Normally, I would have not slept all night. I might have had fine tremors all day, including nausea, no appetite, emotional issues and brain fog. These are just some of the symptoms that you might have when you are in my predicament - but this time it didn’t happen! This time, I started to sleep better. For many, many years, I took anti-depressants just to help me sleep. I was able to stop the medication and switch to a natural alternative.

Looking back at my journey with Prof. Toy, I firmly believe that the body heals itself. I think it’s the most beautiful thing that can happen. That’s how NATURE works! In my case, because I have been blessed with good health, I emphasize on prevention. I don’t need …medications. I truly support this neurostimulation "approach" and the fact that it mobilizes the body to actually do its job of regenerating itself-- This is a wonderful thing. My body and my soul deserve the best care I can provide.

DEMO DAY WITH ASPEN LASER - PHOTOBIOMODULATION THERAPY

IPHA NEWS and HEALTH TECH REPORTER covers DEMO DAY at the Bard Diagnostic Imaging Center in NYC @ March 7, 2023.  National clinical trainer Mark Murdoch speaks in an interview about the Aspen Laser  technology while he treats registered patients suffering from various chronic disorders (including a rotator cuff tear & other MSK joint injuries,  psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis on the skin.

PHILOSOPHY BEHIND RED LASER THERAPY
Photobiomodulation is what we're actually doing when we look at red and near infrared light.  (it’s different from far infrared-that's a sauna creating deep heating in the tissue and sweating out toxins). Photobiomodulation is the application of red and near infrared light to tissue where there is disease or dysfunction.  The mechanism of action of light is very simple. It doesn't treat any specific disease or diagnosis, but it treats the underlying cause of all dysfunction in the body (all disease) and that is cellular health and wellness.

Within the cell, oxygen is supposed to flow into the mitochondria, which is the powerhouse of the cell, and that's supposed to produce adenosine triphosphate or ATP.  This is what every cell in the body uses for energy.  Due to exposure to via environmental toxins, lack of sleep, stress, injury and disease, lack of exercise, too much exercise, not enough sunlight, poor nutrition etc. oxygen flows in the cell and then it's bound by nitric oxide. That binding of nitric oxide with oxygen forms a deadly particle called a free radical.  This causes two problems: #1- that oxygen is now not free to go into the mitochondria- so our ATP production in the body drops.  #2- there's the abundance of free radicals is the root of every disease. It's the gene expression for things like cancer, heart disease and diabetes.  So what light does very simply is when we shine light in and we can get light into the cell at the right wavelength, dosage and power density, it simply unbinds the oxygen particle and the nitric oxide particle and the free radical is dissipated into the blood vessel walls. So now we have removed free radicals and inflammation inside the cell. Also, the oxygen respiratory chain starts up again and that oxygen particle is allowed to flow into the mitochondria, and the ATP now goes through the roof and rises again the body. So now you have a perfectly operating cell, which then does its job of treating disease, treating tissue repair, treating dysfunction in the body,

What makes the Aspen Apex laser unique starts with all the wavelengths used.  Our devices carry four wavelengths and every wavelength of light is like a different kind of medicine. Each wavelength is a different color of medicine and produces a different response in the body.  By using four kinds of medicine (laser), we're treating concurrently- using all of them at the same time.  We apply the 10 64 wavelength- an extremely deep penetrating wave signal that goes deep beyond the top layer of the skin surface or the epidermis or the top layers of the muscle tissue. It's a deeply penetrating wavelength, and we deliver all of the dosage because light is dose-dependent medicine.  We are able to deliver all of the dosage deep into the tissue without any of the dosage being lost in your superficial tissues like most wavelengths.

Our design allows us to turn on or off each wavelength individually and adjust (personalize) the power with wavelengths individually.  As data, research and science changes, and tells us that certain power on certain wavelengths works better and lower power on and others works better, we can actually change that on the laser to customize each treatment based on the patient's reaction. It's not a one size fits all.

Aspen was started by Charles Vorwaller 30 years ago. He was able to hone in on what wavelengths, what power, what combinations, work properly for specific clinical response. What fascinates me about light therapy is that I had never seen clinical results this fast and actually last permanently.  Patient response is quite high for something non-invasive, non-surgical, non-pharmaceutical and has no known side effects.  Average treatment application can be done in a matter of five to 10 minutes in a single treatment.

ON IMAGING
Anytime you can monitor a patient other than subjective questions, (my pain, my mobility, all those things) when we can actually measure it with a tool, like ULTRASOUND, it gives us that objective data that we need to.  Hence, to be conclusive is to measure and know what's going on, and then to be able to reflect that back to the patient regardless of how they feel.  There's always a better feeling, but regardless of how they feel, acquiring data that says, “this is where you were, this is where the treatment is, and this is where you are now!”

Imaging gives the patient confidence to continue the care knowing that our treatment is actually helping and that it's moving forward.  To know that it's not just psychosomatic, but they see data and what gets monitored and tracked and gets repeated. So that makes for a more compliant patient and then gets us a faster and better result.

Connecting with Dr. Bard offered us great real-time monitoring through his innovation in diagnostic tools and tracking. Some of the things we've done here today are tracking pre and post light sessions as far as what's happening in in the tissue, what's happening with blood flow.   We look at the imaging under the skin surface that normally people wouldn't be able to see.  By this, we can track different things with light therapy, but on the average, most response happens over time.   We don't have to wait till their next visit to identify response. We can adjust our treatment midflight- and change the components on the laser thanks to the immediate feedback from image guidance-- not just from the patient.

FROM THE BRAIN HEALTH COLLABORATIVE

11/18/2022- RED LIGHT THERAPY FOR TBI (By: Jennifer Stagg, ND) Within the past decade, ads for Red Light Therapy (RLT) devices have exponentially appeared in the health, wellness and commercial markets- drawing significant attention to their claims and challenging their efficacy.  As with all technologies, many variables are to be considered as far as concluding on their proposed health benefits. Published reports from clinical (valid) studies detailing the utility of RLT in human health.  Encouraging reviews indicate that there is a growing body of evidence for the use of RLT in traumatic brain injury (TBI) and neurodegenerative processes, including Stroke and Parkinson’s disease.

CONCUSSION EXAMS (Part 2)- THE BENEFITS OF IMAGING: Concussion literature notes that in a Funduscopic exam, the retinal arterial-venous width will show as ASYMMETRIC (indicative of possible trauma). This is a potential response of the autonomic nervous system.   Microcirculatory hemodynamics that are optically visible are useful in validating the treatment progress. (see complete review). Now that radiologists are using Doppler blood flow to examine eye disease, including systemic diseases (including Diabetes, Brain tumors, heart disease, sickle cell disease etc.) that affect the eye, we are hopeful that the ophthalmologic and neurological communities will start using this noninvasive technology as well to improve noninvasive and more rapid treatment of potential eye disorders, such as cancers of the eye, diabetes and glaucoma.  Another future use will be to correlate the effect of decreased vascular pulsation in the production of cerebrospinal fluid that is removed by the cleansing glymphatic system is postulated as a contributing factor in degenerative neuromuscular disease.

12/7/2022- What is NEUROPLASTICITY? This is defined as the ability of the nervous system to change its activity in response to intrinsic or extrinsic stimuli by reorganizing its structure, functions, or connections after injuries, such as a stroke or traumatic brain injury (TBI). The word Neuroplasticity ignites a feeling of hope. For clinicians and therapists working with patients with all types of brain injuries, understanding neuroplasticity is crucial. Because neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change and adapt in response to new learning and new experiences, it can change both a clinician's choice of therapeutic techniques as well as the duration of the patient’s therapeutic program.  (See complete report by Marilyn Abrahamson)

TECH REVIEW: 2022 TRENDING INTEREST IN BRAIN HEALTH-- IPHA NEWS conducted a private interview with the co-developers of NEUROVINE - a portable headband using EEG (electroencephalogram) technology to measure brain waves.  Meet CEO Ashleigh Kennedy, Ph.D., and CMO Matthew Kennedy, MD, MSc (co-founders of Neurovine) from Ottawa, Ontario, CA. who shares their objectives in support of concussion monitoring by measuring brain health as part of optimizing their recovery process. Neurovine offers this portable interactive monitoring program for athletes, students, professionals and anyone undergoing mentally strenuous work by “alerting them to take brain breaks before an activity becomes too strenuous”.

10/25/2022- HEALING, STRESS AND THE PARASYMPATHETIC SYSTEM:  Analyzing STRESS & ANXIETY from a holistic point of view means identifying the body’s interconnected systems (ie. circulatory, cardiovascular, nervous, lymphatic, endocrine etc.) and its many touch points for stimulation.   This analysis should also offer a comprehensive breakdown of the body's HEALING capacity- which includes our hormones, digestive system, immune system, brain, heart-- all the way down to our cells and mitochondria.   Stress is part of life, and comes in many forms including physical, emotional, mental and environmental. Foods we eat, unhealthy relationships, difficulties at work, toxins in our environment, even poor posture or lack of sunshine can all create stress on our bodies. HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT SPECIALIST FOR YOU: Whether you're searching for a primary care physician or a cosmetic specialist, shopping for any doctor can be quite a challenge. Ingredients for finding a professional that you can trust with your life rely heaviest on their reputation, expertise and qualifications found under smart research methods. REFERRALS: As medical professionals are now heavily participating in commercial marketing platforms (such as broadcast and podcast commercials, youtube videos, social media promotion and public relations campaigns), the most favored influencer about any practitioner is still word of mouth. At least starting with a recommendation from a friend, colleague or family member, getting positive feedback about a practitioner through others' experience is a great place to begin. (see complete report)

Deconstructing AVACEN®: Microcirculation Therapy

MedTech Test Drive: Using Brain Wave EEG Readings while Using Microcirculation Therapy Device
Review of the effect of the AVACEN® Medical (HOME Model) on BRAIN WAVES -
By: Lennard M. Gettz, Ed.D

12/28/2022  Having learned about the AVACEN® HOME's potential to tackle headaches and migraines, this special test employs the use of a wearable EEG (called the Neurovine) to try and capture a graphic report of brain waves under treatment.

As stated in an NIH review, most headaches begin throughout the many nerves of the muscles and blood vessels that surround your head, neck, and face. These pain-sensing nerves can be set off by stress, muscle tension (or tightness), enlarged blood vessels, and other triggers [1].

The Neurovine EEG (sensory band) was designed to track and monitor brain exertion as part of its target function of cognitive pacing.  Brain exertion has been linked to a variety of conditions, from ANXIETY/STRESS and primary exertional headaches are reported to be caused by intense physical exertion, poor circulation, high blood pressure or inflammation.  Under a seven variable-session study,   I found this to be a great opportunity to review brain waves and the parasympathetic response. The graph (above) showed the first 7:38 minutes under the treatment to show a rather unique wave pattern to the EEG lines. Unlike other activities that showed more abrupt and sharper readings, the Avacen experience shows slow, rounded peaks and slower changes.  I find this unusual because of the gradual slowness of the pulse waves rising and descending. This is indicative of the theorized philosophy of how such devices (including Pulse Electromagnetic Stimulation, Biofeedback etc) behave.  Another theory my clinical team and I have is that the  wave PATTERNS (behavior of my brain exertion) appear to have an even pace of up-to-down- pursuing a pattern that aligns with an eventual reduction in elevation- thus as time goes on, the highs and lows become reduced and the wave line settles toward the midpoint.  As this reading is only the beginning (1st day with Avacen device), more continued studies with this device through NV will continue as well as other therapeutic technologies that may offer such biometric readings.

STUDY 2: HEADACHES, MIGRAINES and SLEEP ISSUES
(EEG study- review of Brain waves improved)

L-Image: A recent study was conducted (1/12-15, 2023) with a female subject who underwent knee replacement surgery in March, 2022.  The subject is also a chronic sufferer of sleep apnea, acute knee pain from the surgical recovery and  stated having intermittent migraines.  In addition, she contracted Covid-19 infection early 2023 and claimed to have intermittent brain fog and imbalance. We applied the AVACEN® HOME and again, implemented the Neurovine EEG to track her brain waves.  The results were surprisingly visible in as far as brain exertion; from the graphic EEG report, we see a significant drip in brain exertion almost to the base line of RELAXED state.  From this, one may translate to this as a significant reduction in stress (or "brain racing") and possible anxiety.

After 3-4 applications of the AVACEN® HOME's, the subject was elated to express the following:
- reduction in brain fog and head pressure by as much as 80%
- balance mostly restored, was able to climb up and down the stairs without the fear of falling
- where her eyes once felt low and "droopy" due to fatigue or malaise, after the treatment, she felt "wide awake" and more energized.

Further exposure to the Avacen device will be conducted and additional behavioral and physiological observations will continue. (TBD)

RECOGNIZING THE SCIENCE OF THERMOREGULATION & REVERSE PRESSURE
Written by: Josh Schueller PT

In our continued search for non-invasive therapeutic engineering, our tech reporters have met with a unique device with claims of bringing a whole body physical wellness through microcirculation by inducing calculated reverse pressure and heat therapy through the hand.

The hand (specifically the palm area) has long been believed to hold the key to your health and well-being. Eastern medicine specialists have studied the palm as a central source of identifying the state of one's heart and health. The color of the palm can reveal your general health by reflecting blood circulation. Normal healthy color is light pink and white can indicate poor circulation or poor health (1). In Tai Chi the position of the palm is essential in the expression of energy (Yang Phase) (2). The acupressure point in the palm deals with fear, sadness, worry, frustration, and anxiety (3).

To better understand the palm is part of our understanding the uniqueness of our anatomy. The palm of the hand is critical in the thermoregulation of the body.  The structure of blood flow in the palm (arteriovenous anastomoses- AVA) allows for warming and thinning of the body as it returns to the heart and is distributed throughout the body.

AVACEN ( Advanced VAscular Circulation ENhancement) has developed FDA clearance as a non-invasive, drug-free heat therapy system that is indicated to assist in:

1) temporary relief of minor muscle pain, joint pain, and stiffness

2) temporary relief of joint pain associated with arthritis, muscle spasms, and minor strains and sprains

3) muscular relaxation

4) temporary increase of local circulation (4)

According to its design reports,  the key components to AVACEN device is improving the microcirculation via the palm of the hand. By introducing negative pressure and heat to the palm of your hand this will increase the temperature of the blood. This will decrease blood volume and increases microcirculation.  This increased microcirculation improved oxygen and nutrition to the skeletal muscles while carrying away waste (carbon dioxide).  The intended result is more relaxed muscles throughout the body.

In regards to addressing pain, we observe the design theory behind the AVACEN is as follows; when inflammation in that area blocks healthy blood flow, the device works on targeting improved transportation of the blood (for added efficiency) to that area which could possibly improve medication delivery.  In my clinical experience, not everyone responds with the same success to traditional treatments ( therapy, medication, injections etc).  The current market trend suggest the need for increased non-invasive, non-pharmacological, safe, and effective treatment options.  When the opportunity to use the AVACEN became available, I immediately volunteered.

FIRST-IMPRESSION REVIEW
The machine is small, about the length of your elbow to hand.  I first put my hand in a specially designed patented glove to help ensure negative pressure.  Make sure you take off all of your jewelry prior.  The AVACEN machine has many different prompts to assist you in the sessions.  Following the prompts is essential to success.  Once putting your hand in the machine keep your hand straight from elbow down and put your hand resting on the dry heat pad inside machine. Pressing start the cuff begins to seal. The device will then calibrate the weight and size of your hand in ensure the appropriate treatment for you.  The treatment will begin and I just relaxed for the 15-20 minutes with a slight warming feeling on the palm of my hand. The device is simple and user friendly with clear instructions. There is three temperature levels to choose from (low,  medium, and high). Treatments range from 15-20 minutes with recommendations of twice per day.

COMPARISON TESTING AND MULTIMODALITY 'STACKING'
This is an excerpt from the report "Using Multi-Modality Therapeutics"-  By: Patrick Ziemer (Magnawave PEMF). As a promoter of neuromagnetic therapeutic devices, Mr. Ziemer holds a unique comparative position as a technology analyst of non-invasive therapeutics with access to test driving other modalities.

"When I was first introduced to the AVACEN® HOME, I found their strategic use of heat induction to offer a relaxing sensation within moments of inserting your hand in the device... I could sense it working by actually radiating throughout the body (I'm acutely sensitive to this). I also felt a form of euphoria that I can only attribute to an acceleration in blood movement (velocity) throughout my body- something I am also familiar with from other modalities."

STACKING COMPLEMENTARY INNOVATIONS
The idea of targeting musculoskeletal or neurological performance using heat and pressure is not a new one; this AVACEN technology appeared to have found the right blend of two or more interventional functions to work together and automate it under one protocol.  They have the same spirit of uniting applications or "STACKING" as I do, especially whenever we try to join one of my PEMF devices for a multimodality treatment at my medispas* with other non-invasive therapeutic technologies that we feature.  By identifying the compatible 'active ingredient'  from each device, I find there to be a lot of room for expanding the healing directive and explore taking it further. In the case of Avacen, adding the pulsation of another complementary technology like the PEMF offers a new movement- both working on that cellular level via a shift in the blood flow through the body, meanwhile working in concert as the PEMF may zero in on a specific body area simultaneously. You get (kind of) a scrubbing effect to help clear the plaque in the bloodstream or in the vessels. It's like having the perfect sprinkler system for what you're trying to nourish."

I believe that working with the AVACEN device reminds me of reflexology (the application of pressure to areas on the feet or the hands). I'm all for the improvement of our body's circulation-- I see that there's a lot of wellness and healing that comes from this. It's so easy to use and the designers really took away all the guesswork by simplifying  the 15-20 minute operation. Having studied the body's reaction to the AVACEN, this device actually turns up the velocity of the blood throughout the body- and that's where the biometric optimizing comes in.

(continuation)

The AVACEN device is identified as a medical device- incorporating a single entry point treatment technique that by all standards shows to be safe and non-invasive.  The concept of raising the temperature of your extremity, you are receiving a form of biometric RE-SET, telling your body to fully auto-adjust.  I recognize this temperature intervention therapy in other modalities including cryotherapy, infrared sauna, cold laser and a vast array of other innovations.

Observing our testers' experiences, we find a consistent line of reports about systemic benefits  either on specific issues or throughout the body to as far as addressing pain, tension relief and the induction of relaxation. One last aspect that AVACEN has is the AVACEN CSS which is a program for practitioners to address cardiovascular and stress issues. By measuring heart rate variability and accelerated plethysmography to analyze overall CV and Autonomic System function the clinician is able to track improvements objectively to correspond with subjective measurements.

Key questions:

1. How long does the “warmed blood” circulate through the body?

2. What is the temperature increase in the blood?

3. Temporary relief from pain— does that mean you have to use AVACEN regularly ?

4. Could AVACEN be helpful in the treatment of migraines and fibromyalgia?

In a world searching for innovative, safe, and effective pain and wellness solutions, AVACEN offers a very unique concept.  Many new technologies for pain treatments goal is increase blood flow, more efficient blood flow, and decreased inflammation. AVACEN is no different.  The difference with AVACEN is the concept of using the palm of your hand as the delivery mechanism.  Pain suffers (especially migraine sufferers ) are desperate for treatment options as the current, traditional methods are expensive and inefficient.  A person’s health and wellness is as unique from person to person as your fingerprint or a snowflake.  Individualized treatment options that best fit the person’s need is essential for success.  AVACEN provides an inexpensive option to many people searching for answer to their health and wellness.
